భోజనం పూర్తి చేసి తండ్రి వెళ్లిపోయిన తరువాత, కొడుకు, కోడలు భోజనానికి కూర్చున్నారు...
వారి భోజనంలో సరిపడినంత పెరుగు ఉండటం కొడుకు గమనించాడు..
భార్యను ఏమీ అనలేదు. మౌనంగా వ్యాపారానికి వెళ్ళిపోయాడు.

కానీ పని మీద మనసు లగ్నం చేయ లేక పోయాడు. 
రాత్రి పగలు తన తండ్రి అడిగిన ఒక కప్పు పెరుగు విషయమే మనసును తొలుస్తున్నది.

తనకొఱకు తన తండ్రి చేసిన త్యాగం, ప్రేమతో పెంచిన తీరు, కష్టపడి వృద్ధిచేసి అందించిన, వడ్డించిన విస్తరి లాంటి వ్యాపారం.. అన్నీ ఒక్కొక్కటిగా గుర్తుకొచ్చాయి..
తన తండ్రి జీవితమంతా చేసిన కష్టం, ఒక కప్పు పెరుగును ఇవ్వలేక పోయిందా అనే బాధను తట్టుకోలేక పోయాడు..

తండ్రికి ఇపుడు ఇంకొక వివాహం చేస్తే, ఆ భార్య అతని బాగోగులు బాగా చూచుకొన గలదు.. 
కానీ ఇపుడు తండ్రి ససేమిరా ఒప్పుకోడు..

భార్యను దండించితే మనసు మారుతుందన్న నమ్మకం లేదు...

ఎంత ఆలోచించినా మార్గం తోచలేదు. 

చివరకు ఒక నిర్ణయానికి వచ్చి, మరుసటి రోజు హఠాత్తుగా తన తండ్రిని వేరొక ఊరు తీసికొని వెళ్లి మంచి ఇల్లు చూసి అన్ని సదుపాయాలు ఏర్పరచి తండ్రిని అక్కడవుంచి తిరిగి వచ్చేసాడు. 

మామగారు అంత హఠాత్తుగా ఎక్కడికి, ఎందుకు వెళ్లాడో కోడలికి అర్ధం కాలేదు..
భర్తను అడిగింది గానీ తనకు కూడా తెలియదని చెప్పటంతో ఆలోచనలో పడింది.   

ఒక వారం గడిచిపోయింది..
మామగారి విషయం తెలియటం లేదు. భర్తను అడిగే ధైర్యం చేయలేక పోయింది. సహజంగానే ఆతృత పెరిగింది.

ఆరోజు ఉదయం భర్త వెళ్లిన తరువాత, ఏదో పని మీద గుమాస్తా ఇంటికి వచ్చాడు.. 
కోడలు మామ గారి గురించి ఆరా అడిగింది.. 

ఎంజరిగిందో తెలియదు గాని...
పెద వ్యాపారి గారు పెళ్లి చేసుకోబోతున్నారని... ఏర్పాట్లు పూర్తయ్యా యని, 
వ్యాపారాన్ని కూడా తనే చూచు కుంటారని, ఆయన కొత్త కాపురం ఈ ఇంట్లోనే ఉంటారని, కొడుకు తన కాపారాన్ని ఒక అద్దె ఇంటి లోనికి మార్చ బోతున్నారని,

【అలాంటిది నీళ్లలో నిప్పు ఉండడమేమిటి? ఈయన ఎంత అమాయకుడో? ఇంకా ఇటువంటిఉపన్యాసాలు చెప్పి జనాలను నమ్మించాలని  చూస్తున్నారు అని మనసులోనేనవ్వుకుంటారు.】

 ఎందుకంటే చాలామందికి తెలిసి నీళ్ళలో నిప్పు అనేది

దాక్కొని ఉండడం అసంభవం. తమ నమ్మకం తప్పని అంత త్వరగా ఒప్పుకోడానికి ఎవరూ సిద్ధపడి లేరు.

అదే ఓ సైంటిస్టు అయ్యా  నీళ్లలో నిప్పు ఉన్నది అని చెప్పాడనుకోండి,

ఆశ్చర్య పోతారు. అయినా పూర్తిగానమ్మరు. ఏది ఎలాగ నిరూపణ చేయండి అంటారు. ఆయన చెప్తారు. నీటిని చేతితో తాకగలం, కంటితో చూడగలం. కానీ నీటిలో ఉండే నిప్పును తాకలేం, నేరుగా కంటితో చూడలేం. ఎందుకంటే దాని శక్తి అమోఘం.

 ఒక వస్తువుగుండా ప్రవహింపచేసినట్లేతే

కనుక దానిని అనేక పనులకు సాధనంగా ఉపయోగించవచ్చు. దీపంగా వాడుకోగలం, ఆ వెలుగును చూడగలం. భూమిలో నుండి నీటిని తోడగలం. అనేక పనులు చేయగలం. ఆ నీటిలో నుండి వెలికి వచ్చిన నిప్పునే మనం “విద్యుత్” అనిపిలుచుకుంటున్నాం...

ఇదంతా విని అవునౌను నిజమే నీటిలో విద్యుత్ శక్తి ఉంది. దానిని మనం వాడుకుంటున్నాం కదా!? అంటూ ఒప్పుకుంటారు.

 #వేదపండితుడు - సైంటిష్టు ఇద్దరు ఒకే విషయాన్ని చెప్పారు. కానీ  వేదం అనగానే నేటి ఆధునికుల దృష్టిలో పెద్ద బూటకం. అది పాత చింతకాయ పచ్చడి వంటిది. ఎవరికీ పెద్ద ఆసక్తి ఉండదు. వేదం అంటే పూర్వకాలంలో కాలక్షేపానికి రాసుకున్న ఒక జీవన పద్ధతి. ఆ రోజులలో ప్రజలుబావిలో కప్పలు. వారికి ప్రపంచం తెలియదు. తమ చిన్న ప్రపంచంలోజీవించడానికి పెద్ద పనేమీ ఉండేది కాదు. అందుకే ఖాళీ ఎక్కువై రాసుకున్న గ్రంథాలు అవన్నీ. ఈ రోజులకు సరిపోవు. అయినా నిరూపణకు సరిపోని అంశాలు వేదంలో చాలా ఉన్నాయి. కనుక అవి అన్నీఅసమంజసమైనవే అనే వాదనలకు నిలువలేవు!! అని నేడుచాలామంది ఆధునికులయొక్క అభిప్రాయం...

చాలామంది గొర్రెలవలెనే ఆలోచించడానికి అలవాటుపడి నేటికీ అదే విధానంలోఉన్నారు. ఒక గొర్రె ఎటువెళితే వెనకాల గొర్రెలన్నీ అటే వెళతాయి. అలాగే నేటి కాలంలో పాప్ సాంగ్స్, ఫేస్ బుక్, వాట్సప్, సినిమాలు, డబ్బు మొ. వాటిలో కొట్టుకుపోతున్నారే కానీ మనమెటు వెళుతున్నాం అన్నది ఆలోచించడం లేదు. నూటికి ఎవరో ఒక్కరు మాత్రమే మనిషిలా తమ బుద్ధిని

ఉపయోగించగలరు. వారే నాయకులవుతున్నారు. మిగతావారు గొర్రెల వలె లోకాన్నిఅనుసరిస్తున్నారు.

కంటితో చూసినవి మాత్రమే నమ్ముతామంటే క్యారెట్ తింటే ఏ- విటమిన్ వస్తుంది అని డాక్టరు చెప్పినప్పుడు మీరు నమ్మకూడదు. కానీ నమ్ముతున్నారే!!   విద్యుత్ ను కంటితో చూడలేదు, చేతితో స్పర్శించ లేదు. కానీ విద్యుత్ అనేది ఉంది అని నమ్ముతున్నాము. విద్యుత్తు వలెనే భగవంతుడిని కూడా కంటితో చూడలేం, చేతితో స్పర్శించలేము.

   "ఎందుకంటే ఆయనను భరించ గలిగే శక్తి ఈ శరీరానికి లేదు. విద్యుత్ తగిలితే శరీరం ఎలా తట్టుకోలేదో అలాగే భగవంతుని స్పర్శనీ ఈశరీరం తట్టుకోలేదు."

 #ఒక పరిమితికి లోబడిన వస్తువులను మాత్రమే మనం కంటితోచూడగలం. ఆ పరిమితి కంటే తక్కువ ఉన్నా (అణువు),ఎక్కువ ఉన్నా (సూర్యుడు) మనం కంటితో చూడలేం. అలా చూడడానికి మనకి భూతద్దం వంటి ఓ సాధనం కావాలి. ఆలాగే

పరిమితికి లోబడిన శబ్దాలను మాత్రెమే మనం చెవులతో వినగలం. శబ్దం ఎక్కువ ఉన్నా వినలేం (చెవుడువస్తుంది), శబ్దం తక్కువ ఉన్నా మనకు వినబడదు. అంటే మనం చూడడానికి, వినడానికి, ముట్టుకోవాడనికి, వాసన చూడడానికి రుచి>చూడడానికి వీటన్నిటికీ పరిమితులు (Limitations) ఉన్నాయి.  "పాంచభౌతికమైన

మన శరీరమే పరిమిత మైనది అయినప్పుడు  అపరిమిత శక్తి కలిగిన భగవంతుని మనం ఈ శరీరంతో ఎలాచూడగలం, ఎలా మాట్లాడగలం?అలా చూడాలనుకోవడం మన అవివేకమే అవుతుంది."

చూడగలుగుతున్నామో అలాగే మనసు అనే సాధనమునుఉపయోగించి మాత్రమే ఆ భగవంతుని దర్శించగలం.

【మనకు తెలియని విషయాలు అన్నీ అసత్యాలు కాదు. మన బుద్ధికి తెలియనంత మాత్రాన భగవంతుడు లేడనడం అవివేకం.】 జీర్ణప్రక్రియను మనకంటితో చూడలేము. కానీ ఎవరో ఒక సైంటిష్ట్ చెప్పాడని అది నమ్ముతున్నాం.

ఒక ఊళ్లో ఒక పేద పిల్లవాడు ఉండేవాడు. వాడికి తల్లిదండ్రులు లేరు. ఆ పిల్లవాడు చదువుకొనేందుకు అవసరమైన డబ్బులు కూడా ఉండేవి కావు వాడి దగ్గర. అందుకని వాడు ఇల్లిల్లూ తిరిగి, ఇంట్లోకి పనికి వచ్చే వస్తువులను అమ్మేవాడు. అలా వచ్చిన డబ్బుతో చదువుకొనేవాడు.

ఒకరోజున, అలా అమ్మకానికి పోయినప్పుడు, అతనికి బాగా ఆకలి వేసింది. ఎండ విపరీతంగా ఉన్నది; నీరసంగా ఉంది; ఇక తిరగలేని పరిస్థితి. చేతిలో ఒక్క రూపాయి మాత్రమే ఉంది. ఏంచేయాలి?

‘అక్కడున్న ఇంటి తలుపుతట్టి, కొంచెం అన్నం పెట్టమని అడుగుదాం’ అనుకున్నాడు అతను. వెళ్ళి ఇంటి తలుపు కొట్టాడు- అయితే ఓ చక్కని యువతి ఇంటి తలుపు తెరిచేసరికి, వాడికి ఇక ఏమి అడగాలో తోచలేదు- “ఒక గ్లాసు మంచినీళ్ళు ఇస్తారా?” అని మాత్రం అడగ గల్గాడు.అయితే, పిల్లవాడి ముఖం‌ చూస్తే, ‘వాడికి ఆకలిగా ఉంది’ అని ఎవరైనా కనుక్కోగలరు. అందుకని ఆమె మంచినీళ్లకు బదులు, వాడికి ఒక పెద్ద గ్లాసెడు పాలు తీసుకొచ్చి ఇచ్చింది. పిల్లవాడికి ప్రాణం లేచివచ్చినట్లైంది. సంతోషంగా గ్లాసెడు పాలూ త్రాగేశాడు- త్రాగేశాక మళ్ళీ గుర్తుకొచ్చింది- ‘తన దగ్గర ఉన్నది ఒక్క రూపాయే!’ అని.

పిల్లవాడికి చాలా సిగ్గు వేసింది. అయినా అడిగాడు, జేబులో‌చెయ్యి పెడుతూ- “మీకు ఎంత చెల్లించాలి?” అని.

“నువ్వు ఏమీ చెల్లించనవసరం లేదులే!”అన్నది ఆ యువతి నవ్వుతూ. “దయతో చేసిన పనికి ప్రతిఫలం తీసుకోకూడదట- మా అమ్మ చెప్పింది!” అన్నది.

పిల్లవాడి కళ్ళు చెమర్చాయి. “అయితే మీరు కనీసం నా హృదయపూర్వక కృతజ్ఞతలు స్వీకరించాలి” అని చెప్పి, వాడు అక్కడినుండి ముందుకు సాగాడు.

ఆ గ్లాసెడు పాలతో పిల్లవాడి ఆకలి అప్పటికి ఎలాగూ తీరింది- శారీరకంగా సత్తువ వచ్చింది. అయితే దానితోబాటు వాడి మనస్సూ మార్పుకు లోనైంది. మనిషిలోని మంచితనం పట్లా, దేవుని కరుణ పట్లా ఆ పసి హృదయంలో నమ్మకం ఒకటి, చిన్న విత్తనం మొలకెత్తినట్లు, మొలకెత్తింది. రాను రాను అది బలపడింది-
ఆ పిల్లవాడు పెద్దయ్యేసరికి, ఆ నమ్మకం అతనిలో వ్రేళ్ళూనుకున్నది.

చాలా సంవత్సరాలు గడిచాయి. రోజులు ఒకేలాగా ఉండవు. అప్పటి ఆ యువతి ఇప్పుడు పెద్దదైంది. ఏదో ప్రమాదకరమైన జబ్బుకు లోనై, ఆమె ఆరోగ్యం బాగా దెబ్బతిన్నది. స్థానికంగా ఉన్న వైద్యులకు లొంగలేదు ఆ జబ్బు. వాళ్ళు ఆమెను పట్టణానికి వెళ్ళి ప్రత్యేక వైద్యులకు చూపించమన్నారు. ఆమెను చేర్చుకున్న ఆసుపత్రి వాళ్ళు ఆమె సమస్యను పెద్ద డాక్టరు గారికి అప్పగించ దలచారు. ఆమె వివరాలున్న ఫైలును డాక్టరుగారి దగ్గరికి పంపించారు. ఆమె ఊరి పేరు చూసిన డాక్టరుగారు వెంటనే లేచి, ఆమెను చూసేందుకు బయలుదేరి వచ్చారు.

ఆమెను చూడగానే పెద్ద డాక్టరుగారికి కళ్ళు చెమర్చాయి. ‘ఎలాగైనా ఆమెను రక్షించాలి’ అని నిశ్చయించుకొని, ఆయన ఆమె పట్ల ప్రత్యేక శ్రద్ధ చూపించారు. ఎట్టకేలకు ఆయన కృషి ఫలించింది- చాలా రోజుల పాటు మృత్యువుతో పోరాటం చేసిన తర్వాత, చివరికి ఆమె తన జబ్బు నుండి బయటపడింది!

ఇక ఆమె ఇంటికి వెళ్ళవచ్చు- వెళ్ళేముందు ఆసుపత్రికి చెల్లించాల్సిన మొత్తాన్ని చెల్లించటమే తరువాయి: ఎంత ఖర్చు అయ్యిందో‌మరి! ఆమెకు బిల్లు పంపించేముందు దాన్ని తనకోసారి చూపించమని ఆసుపత్రి యాజమాన్యాన్ని ఆదేశించారు పెద్ద డాక్టరుగారు. దాన్ని చూసిన తరువాత, ఆయన ఆ బిల్లు చివరలో ఏదో రాసి, ఆమెకు అందజేసారు.
ఆమె ఆ బిల్లును చూసేందుకు కూడా భయపడింది- ఎందుకంటే, ఆమెకు తెలుసు- అంత పెద్ద మొత్తాన్ని తను జీవితాంతం కష్టపడినా చెల్లించలేదు! అయినా చేసేదేమీ లేదు- ఆసుపత్రికి డబ్బు కట్టాల్సిందే! వణికే చేతులతో కవరును తెరిచిందామె… బిల్లు చివర్లో‌ రంగు ఇంకుతో వ్రాసిన అక్షరాలు ఆమెను ఆకర్షించాయి:

ఒక పెద్ద గ్లాసెడు పాలద్వారా ఈ బిల్లు మొత్తం పూర్తిగా చెల్లించబడింది.
